Klaus-Dieter Gutschmidt is a former German roller sportsman . Between 1974 and 1979 he won a total of eight GDR championships in speed roller skating.

Act

Klaus-Dieter Gutschmidt came to roller skating in 1964 . In February 1965 he joined the roller sports section of BSG Empor Velten . In the youth field he won several competitions and titles. In 1973 he took part in the international match between the GDR and Italy and France in Halberstadt . The following year, 1974, he won his first two championship titles in Erfurt over the sprint and 10,000 meter distance. He set a GDR record over the 500-meter sprint route. Another six championship titles followed after the military service in 1976, 1977 and 1978 starting for the BSG unit Oranienburg . After the 1984 season Gutschmidt ended his active career.

Klaus-Dieter Gutschmidt runs a window construction company in Velten .
