Klaus-Dieter Uteß (born May 22, 1954 ) is a former German soccer player. He played from 1974 to 1984 in the GDR league for the company sports associations (BSG) Kernkraftwerk Greifswald and chemistry PCK Schwedt .

Athletic career

As a midfielder, Klaus-Dieter Uteß began his career in the second-class GDR league at the age of 20 at BSG Kernkraftwerk in Greifswald . In the 1974/75 season he was used in nine matches from the 13th matchday onwards. In the 1975/76 and 1976/77 seasons he was only used in eight league games. 1977/78 he was the first regular player in Greifswald, he was only missing in a league game and scored his first three goals in the GDR league. In the 1978/79 season Uteß was a regular midfielder in the starting eleven until the 5th matchday, after which he was only used irregularly in four other games until the end of the first half of the season. At the beginning of the second half of the season he moved to Schwedt / Oder to the GDR division chemistry PCK.

At BSG Chemie, Uteß played five of the eight second round matches and scored the first goal for his new team. In the following four seasons he was one of the goalscorers, but never reached more than 70% of the possible stakes in the first few years. Uteß completed his most successful season in 1982/83, when he played 21 of the 22 league games as a midfielder and scored his best goal rate with three goals. In 1983, at the age of 29, he went into his last GDR league season. He was used 16 more times, but this time he did not score. The BSG Chemie was finally relegated from the GDR league after the end of the season, and Uteß did not return to the higher-class game operations either. There he had come to 142 GDR league games and scored twelve goals.

further activities

In the early 2000s, Uteß was a member of the Uckermark District Council .
