Klaus-Dietrich Kruger

Klaus-Dietrich Krüger (born October 26, 1936 in Falkenberg (Mark) ; † October 6, 2005 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Krüger studied electrical power engineering at the Technical University of Ilmenau from 1954 to 1961 , he received his doctorate in 1975 and then worked in research and development.

After the fall of the Wall , Krüger was one of the founding members of the Social Democrats in the later SPD sub-district of Märkisch-Oderland. In the state elections in Brandenburg in 1990 he was elected to the Brandenburg state parliament as a direct candidate for the SPD in constituency 24 (Strausberg I) . In the election in 1994 he was able to win in constituency 16 (Märkisch-Oderland I) and moved into the Potsdam state parliament for another legislative period. In the state elections in 1999 he was defeated in the same constituency against Kerstin Kaiser-Not from the PDS . Krüger was a member of parliament from October 26, 1990 to September 29, 1999. In the state parliament he chaired the committee for science, research and culture, and from October 1994 until he left the state parliament he was also a member of the committee for education , Youth and sport. The main focus of Kruger’s political work was the science sector; he was particularly committed to the universities of Brandenburg.

Krüger was married and the father of three children.
