Klaus-Jürgen Warnick

Klaus-Jürgen Warnick (born October 21, 1952 in Potsdam ) is a German politician .

After attending the 10-class polytechnic high school , Warnick did an apprenticeship as an electrical mechanic , then worked as a fitter and shift manager in the VEB Electronic Components "Carl von Ossietzky" in Teltow and from 1975 to 1990 as a radio mechanic. From 1990 to 1992 he was then regional representative of the German Tenants' Association in Brandenburg , from its founding until November 1990 he was chairman of the state association there, from May 1992 to November 1994 he was managing director and then deputy state chairman. He was also the treasurer of the self-help association User e. V. for the financing of processes for users threatened with restitution and member of the board of the Association of Land Users and Owners Kleinmachnow e. V.

Warnick sat in the German Bundestag from 1994 to 1998 . As a non-party, he belonged to the PDS faction .

Warnick has been a member of the community council of Kleinmachnow since 1998 and a member of the district council of the Potsdam-Mittelmark district since 2008 . For the district election on September 25, 2016, he ran for the party Die Linke , for which he was confirmed on July 9, 2016 by the nomination meeting with 86.9%. With 14.1% (4th place) he did not reach the runoff election.
