Klaus-Peter Weinhold (born August 27, 1953 in Gießen ) is a former German volleyball player and Protestant theologian .

Volleyball career

Klaus-Peter Weinhold played in his home country in the 1960s and early 1970s at the CVJM Giessen and later at the Bundesliga club USC Giessen . In 1974 he moved to the league competitor Hamburger SV , with whom he was German champion in 1976 and 1977 and DVV cup winner in 1977 . After HSV was relegated in 1979, Klaus-Peter Weinhold played in the 2nd Bundesliga for two years , where he was promoted again in 1981. After that he was player-coach for the Schleswig-Holstein regional league team Fortuna Glückstadt for nine years .

Klaus-Peter Weinhold played 56 times for the German senior national team .

Career as a theologian

Klaus-Peter Weinhold studied Protestant theology from 1972 to 1974 at the Philipps University of Marburg and then until 1978 at the University of Hamburg . After a vicariate at the North Elbian Evangelical Lutheran Church , he was parish priest in Glückstadt from 1981 to 1990 . From 1990 to 2005 he was "sports pastor" for the EKD . From February 2005 he was pastor of the German-speaking community in Palma . In 2013 he became pastor of the parish of Ahlbeck on Usedom .
