Klaus Dürr (politician, 1958)

Klaus Dürr (born September 10, 1958 in Herrenberg ; † June 21, 2020 ) was a German politician ( AfD ) and a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

Life and work

Klaus Dürr attended secondary school in Herrenberg and graduated from business school in Böblingen . From 1975 to 1977 he completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk . From 1981 to 1983 he trained to become an industrial manager while working . Until 2016 he worked as a team leader, project manager and in staff functions in a large international company in the IT industry in the field of application development.

Dürr lived in Wildberg , was married and the father of two daughters.

He died of a heart attack on June 21, 2020.

politics

Klaus Dürr has been a member of the board of the AfD district association Calw / Freudenstadt since 2013 .

Since the candidate and age president Heinrich Kuhn, who was elected in the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2016 with 19.1 percent of the votes in the Calw constituency (43) , resigned his mandate at the end of 2016 for reasons of age and health, Dürr moved up as a substitute candidate at the beginning of 2017.

Dürr was a member of the Committee on Home Affairs, Digitization and Migration , where he was responsible for digitization issues . He was also a member of the Committee for Culture, Youth and Sport .
