Klaus Hackländer

Klaus Hackländer (* 1970 in Mannheim ) is a German wildlife biologist and professor of wildlife biology and hunting management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU).

Life

Klaus Hackländer studied biology at the Philipps University in Marburg from 1991 to 1997 with a focus on wildlife. Between 1997 and 2001 he received his doctorate from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at the University of Vienna in the field of zoology as a doctor of natural sciences (Dr. rer. Nat.). From 2001 to 2004 he was a habilitation scholarship holder of the German Wildlife Foundation and a research assistant at the Research Institute for Wildlife Science and Ecology (FIWI) of the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna .

Hackländer has been a university professor for wildlife biology and hunting at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna since 2005 .

Between 2015 and 2018 he was an adjunct professor at North Carolina State University .
