Klaus Heetel

Klaus Heetel (born June 2, 1941 ) is a former German soccer player who played first division soccer with BSG Wismut Gera in 1966/67 .

Athletic career

From the junior division of the SC Lokomotive Leipzig , Klaus Heetel moved to the second-rate GDR league team in the company sports community (BSG) Chemie Wolfen for the 1963/64 season . There the 22-year-old striker played nine of the 30 point games played and scored three goals. The BSG Chemie had to relegate at the end of the season and Heetel switched to BSG Wismut Gera, which also played in the GDR league. There Heetel fought for a place in the regular team with 25 stakes and five goals. In the season 1965/66 he was not part of the squad of the 1st team that completed the season as a climber in the GDR league . In the 1966/67 season, Heetel appeared again in the squad of the league club. He had his first league appearance on the 4th matchday, but then he did not succeed in making his way into the starting line-up and at the end of the season only made eight league appearances in 26 rounds, in which he was used both as a striker and in midfield . He scored his only goal in these games on the last day of the match at home against 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig when he equalized in the 2-1 win. Wismut Gera only held one season in the league. From 1967 to 1972 Heetel continued to play with BSG Wismut in the GDR league, where he was a regular regular player until 1971 with 111 appearances in a total of 120 point games. However, he only got three goals. At the age of 30, Heetel began his last season in the 1st team of BSG Wismut in 1971/72. In the first 22-round season, he was only used in ten games without scoring again. He then let his football career end in the 2nd team in the third-rate district league .
