Klaus Huber (born April 2, 1949 in Aigen im Mühlkreis ) is an Austrian editor, presenter, dialect poet and local researcher .

Live and act

Klaus Huber was a sports journalist for OÖN from 1969 to 1976 . 1970 to 1974 he studied English, American and Slavic studies at the University of Salzburg and was then professor of English and Russian at grammar schools in Linz . Since 1976 he has worked in the sports department of ORF Upper Austria, from 1981 in current service and from 1994 head of the folk culture department. Furthermore, Huber was a radio and television presenter for many years (e.g. Upper Austria today ).

Huber initiated numerous events in the field of folk culture. Furthermore, he was, among other things, the state board member of the Upper Austrian Open-Air Museums, the Upper Austrian Volksbildungswerk and advisory board of the Academy of Folk Culture. He is the artistic director of the Amstettner and Zipfer Advents and president of the Stelzhamerbund .

He has written numerous articles and publications as well as poems, pastoral games and the Mass Missa Lingua Popularis - d'Mühlviatla Mundartmess' (music: Wilfried Scharf ), which premiered in 2014 in the Pöstlingbergkirche in Linz .

Huber is married and lives in Gallneukirchen .
