Klaus Husemann

Klaus Husemann (born December 28, 1942 in Meißen ) is a German university professor for process engineering , politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament and former chairman of the Broadcasting Council of Central German Broadcasting .

Life

After graduating from EOS in Meißen, Husemann studied mechanical engineering and process engineering at the Magdeburg Technical University . He graduated as a graduate engineer in 1967. In 1971 he received his doctorate with the subject “Analogy considerations on two-phase flows” as a Dr.-Ing. and in 1979 with the topic "Investigations on the fundamentals of impact fine comminution with special consideration of the processes in pin mills" for Dr. sc. techn. From 1971 Husemann was a research assistant at the Research Institute for Processing of the Academy of Sciences in Freiberg .

From June to November 1990, Husemann was the state school supervisor for Saxony. He was head of the school, youth and sport commission of the mixed commission Baden-Württemberg - Saxony.

From 1993 to 2008 Husemann held the professorship for mechanical process engineering at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg . There he was director of the Institute for Mechanical Process Engineering and Processing Technology. In 1994 he introduced the specialization particle technology at the university as part of the process engineering course. This was the first time that this field of study was available anywhere in Germany. He was the spokesman for the Collaborative Research Center 285 “Particle Interaction in Processes in Mechanical Engineering”, which was funded by the German Research Foundation from 1995 to 2004 .

Husemann did research in the areas of size reduction, classification and bulk material mechanics. His results are documented in over 200 publications and 20 patents.

From 1993 to 2009 he was an honorary member of the Broadcasting Council of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, where he was elected chairman in 1997 and 2003. In 1997 and 1998 he was chairman of the ARD committee chairman conference.

The regional church office of the Evangelical Lutheran regional church of Saxony has commissioned Husemann to do voluntary service as a preacher. He has been holding church services in Freiberg since 2010.

In 1999 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class .

Husemann is Protestant, married and has three children.

politics

Husemann has been a member of the CDU since November 1989. From 1990 to 2005 he was a member of the state board of the CDU Saxony and head of the state committee for education and science of the state board. In addition, from 1995 to 2001 Husemann was a member of the Education, Research, Culture Committee of the CDU as a whole. In October 1990 he was elected to the Saxon state parliament via constituency 52 ( Freiberg I ) for an electoral period until 1994. From 1990 to 1993 Husemann was Parliamentary State Secretary in the Saxon Ministry of Culture.
