Klaus Latzel

Klaus Latzel (* 1955 in Bamberg ) is a German historian .

Life

After community service and a job in nursing, he completed a degree in history, sociology and political science in Hamburg and Münster , and made his MA in 1986. After stint at the museum and other nursing services in 1996, Latzel received his doctorate in history at the university Bielefeld . From 1995 to 2001 he worked at the Faculty of Sociology (Georg Simmel Edition). In 2002 he did jobless scientific work, in 2003 he did independent biographical work. From 2004 to 2007 Latzel was a research assistant at the History Institute of the University of Jena and since the winter semester 2008 he has been a research assistant at the History Department of the TU Braunschweig .

research

His focus is on contemporary history , cultural and social history, the history of violence in the 20th century, doping and enhancement in sport and society, as well as the theories and methods in historical studies.
