Klaus Scheelhaase (born September 6, 1919 in Breslau ) is a former German politician ( STATT party ) from Hamburg.

Life

Scheelhaase studied economics , sociology and journalism at the University of Heidelberg . He worked as an advertising speaker at Unilever and as a consultant for Deutsche Nestle AG . Later he was managing director of various advertising agencies as well as marketing director and authorized signatory of the Bavaria-St.Pauli-Brauerei . During his time as a member of parliament he was already retired, but still worked as a lecturer in marketing at the Communication Academy in Hamburg.

politics

In 1993 Scheelhaase moved with the STATT party to the founder Markus Wegner in the Hamburg citizenship . The party was only able to stay in parliament in the 15th electoral term from 1993 to 1997. During this time he sat for his parliamentary group on the building and transport committee, the environment committee and the urban development committee. He was also the senior citizen of the citizenry.

Scheelhaase resigned in June 1995 after internal squabbles from the faction of the STATT party, which thereby lost its faction status. With Scheelhaase, Markus Wegner had also left the ranks of the party and the five remaining MPs were not allowed to form a parliamentary group.

For the 1997 general election , Scheelhaase tried to compete with the “Gray Panthers” with the association “The young old ones”. The electoral association should bundle the interests of the elderly in the Hanseatic city. In the election, however, they only received 0.1% of the vote.
