Klaus Steiger

Klaus Steiger (born September 15, 1919 in Basel , † March 4, 1989 in Stuttgart ) was a Swiss actor.

Life

Steiger attended grammar school in Basel before completing his acting training with Gustav Hartung at the Basel Conservatory and at the Zurich stage studio, with Ernst Ginsberg and Wolfgang Heinz among others .

Steiger played at the Schauspielhaus Zürich , the Städtebundtheater Biel-Solothurn , the Stadttheater Basel , the Landestheater Darmstadt , the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Landestheater Hannover , the Schauspielhaus Bochum, the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt , the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg , the Freie Volksbühne Berlin , at the Thalia-Theater Hamburg , the Schauspiel Köln and the Staatstheater Stuttgart .

He was married to the actress Corinna Stein .
