Klausberg
The Klausberg with the Klausberg ski arena is a ski area in the Ahrntal , which is located in South Tyrol in Italy .
From the village of Steinhaus , the capital of the municipality of Ahrntal , which is 1050 m above sea level at the foot of the mountain, the area extends to a maximum of 2,510 m in the Durreck group to the north . 13 slopes offer 45 kilometers of slopes, which are divided into 12 km of blue, 26 km of red and 7 km of black slopes. The panorama from the slopes mainly includes the Zillertal Alps on the opposite side of the Ahrntal valley . Thanks to the extensive snowmaking system, snow can be guaranteed from Christmas to Easter.
Lifts
There are 8 lifts in the ski area, including no drag lift. The main feeder consists of a 10-seater gondola that takes visitors into the ski area via a 1,250 m long rope. The gondola lift overcomes 550 m (1050 m - 1600 m) difference in altitude.
There is also a double, three triple, one quadruple lift and one 8-person gondola lift.
In the summer of 2006, part of the ski area was newly developed. The “Klaussee 2” (K2) gondola lift was completed for the 2006 Christmas season and leads up to an altitude of 2510 m .
