Klein Methling is a residential area in the town of Dargun in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The village is about eight kilometers north of the Dargun city center. The Trebel runs north of Klein Methling .
history
It was first mentioned in 1235. The term “Methling” originally comes from the Slavic word “Metnic” and means “place where mugwort grows” .
When it was incorporated into Stubbendorf on January 1, 1951, Klein Methling lost its municipal status. Since the incorporation of Stubbendorf into Dargun on June 13, 2004, Klein Methling is now a residential area within the urban area of Dargun.
Attractions
The manor house and the renaturation area with the historic Trebel Bridge between Klein Methling and Nehringen are sights of the village.
In the forests of Klein Methling, large stone graves can be found that are relatively well preserved.
