Kleinbahnwinkel

The Kleinbahnwinkel (also Kleinbahniertel ) comprises a group of localities in the south-east of the Verden district . It belongs to the municipality of Kirchlinteln and forms the southern part of the rural municipality with the largest area in the district. The name is derived from the Verden (Aller) –Walsrode Nord railway line . The northern part of the municipality is called Lintelner Geest . The border to the rest of the municipality is now mostly drawn along the federal highway 27 .

Attractions

The villages are characterized by wide areas of forest and heathland and the Aller valley . The Evangelical Lutheran St. Jakobikirche is located in the village of Wittlohe. There are several protected wetlands and springs in Armsen. Also worth seeing are the old half-timbered houses and farms in Otersen and the aviator's grave in Dalsch (forest area between Wittlohe and Hohenaverbergen) is also worth a visit.
