Hohenaverbergen is a place in Lower Saxony . It belongs to the municipality of Kirchlinteln in the district of Verden and has around 900 to 1000 inhabitants.

history
The name Hohenaverbergen suggests that this place is located on a mountain. In fact, the village center, where the oldest buildings are, is on the top of a hill on which the steeply rising Hohener Dorfstrasse ends. The entrance to the village and the center of the village are located at the foot of this elevation.
On July 1, 1972, Hohenaverbergen was incorporated into the Kirchlinteln community.

Culture and sights
At the Hohener See there are anglers every now and then. In the center of the village, near the multi-generation playground, there is a youth room that is used by many young people in the village.
There is a rifle club , a village community club and a sports club in the village . The club, founded in 1975, bears the name TSV Lohberg and offers a wide range of sports, including: a .: tennis, soccer, judo, walking, basketball and sport stacking and is therefore one of the larger clubs in the region. The majority of the association's members come from the neighboring villages of Luttum and Armsen, along with the "Hohenern".

The busy part of Hohenaverbergen is located on the main street with a gas station, driving schools, a grocery store and a restaurant. There are also farms and riding stables.
There are also three active farmers in Hohenaverbergen, as well as the volunteer fire brigade , and there is also a funeral home.
The Hohenaverbergen stop is on the Verden (Aller) –Walsrode Nord railway line ; Occasionally there are museum train rides for the Verden Railway Friends.
Hohenaverbergen is crossed by the Hohener Dorfstrasse, which connects the cities of Verden (Aller) (about 5 km from Hohenaverbergen) and Walsrode (about 20 km).

On July 12th, 2008 the first Hohener Dorfchronik was published. The chronicle tells the story of Hohenaverbergen since the Middle Ages.
