Barnstedt is a district of the municipality Dörverden in the district of Verden , Lower Saxony .
geography
Barnstedt lies on the banks of the Aller , which flows past the place to the east. The county road 14 splits the city into two parts. The eastern part is towards the Aller, in the western part courtyards are grouped around a village square with a war memorial and a Luther oak.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1188. A Meierhof was documented as early as 1507.
On February 1, 1971, Barnstedt was incorporated into the west of the municipality , which became part of Dörverden on July 1.

coat of arms
The green of the landscape dominates, the stork is the symbol for the Barnstedt landscape protection area. The importance of agriculture in the place is emphasized with the white horse's head and the yellow ears. The place name with the two connecting lines in the white curved band symbolizes the proximity to the Aller and refers to the former Aller ferry.
The coat of arms was not used by the former municipality of Barnstedt, but was designed privately in connection with the publication of the book "The book about the municipality of Dörverden".
