Location of Ahnebergen in Lower Saxony

Ahnebergen is a district of the municipality Dörverden in the district of Verden , Lower Saxony . The place is on the Aller , which flows northeast of the place. The district road  14 leads southwest past the place.

history

Based on archaeological finds ( stone ax and hand milling stone), the first human settlement is believed to have been between 4000 and 2000 BC. Estimated. Ahnebergen lies on an elevation in the glacial valley of the Aller, the name is derived from elevation in the marshland .

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1188.

From 1912 to 1926 potash salt was mined via the two shafts "Alicenhall" and "Glücksborn" .

On February 1, 1971, Ahnebergen was incorporated into the municipality of Wahnebergen , which became part of Dörverden on July 1.

coat of arms

The basic color green symbolizes the agricultural character and the Lower Saxon half-timbered house with crossed horse heads and the large ears of wheat, the rural origins of the village of Ahnebergen. The black stork in the upper part indicates an intact landscape. The loop of the stalk leaf together with the stalks forms an "A" for ancestral mountains. The curved white band represents the Aller who have shaped life in the village since the settlement of this region.

The coat of arms was not carried by the former municipality of Ahnebergen, but developed from the local community.
