Together with Geestefeld, Lohof and Hof Borstel, Stedorf is a district of the municipality of Dörverden in the district of Verden , Lower Saxony .

location

Stedorf is north of Dörverden on the federal highway 215 . The buildings in the two places merge. The Weser flows west of the village . The railway line from Bremen to Hanover runs past the eastern edge of the town .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1219. Potato cultivation began in 1765. From 1828 to 1831 the Stedorf-Rieda winter dyke was raised . In 1932 Geestefeld joined the community of Stedorf. On October 1, 1962, the Stedorf community voluntarily merged with the Dörverden community.
