The animated series Little Dodo is about a little orangutan named Dodo who plays the violin with virtuosity. Old Darwin is a monkey who lived in human care and has now returned to the jungle. Other characters in the series include Arnold, the crocodile , Patana, a female rhinoceros , a leopard named Lollo and many others.

Motion picture

The movie Little Dodo was produced in 2007 and was released in German cinemas on January 1, 2008. Directed by Thilo Rothkirch and Ute von Münchow-Pohl, Thilo Rothkirch, Ute von Münchow-Pohl, Rolf Giesen and Michael Mädel were responsible for the script. The film is the prequel to the series. He shows Dodo's life with his parents in the rainforest, how the violin got into the jungle and how the little orangutan finally became its owner. The film was released on DVD on September 5, 2008.
