The Kleinschmidt Cliffs are a cliff in the southern section of the Usarp Mountains of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . They loom on the opposite side of the Thompson Spur on the north flank of the Swanson Glacier .

Scientists from the German expedition GANOVEX I (1979–1980) named it. It is named after the German geologist Georg Kleinschmidt (* 1938), who was involved in this research trip.
