The Swanson Glacier is a 14.5 km long glacier in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Usarp Mountains it drains the eastern slopes of the Daniels Range north of the Thompson Spur .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1970 after Charles D. Swanson, biologist of the United States Antarctic Research Program on the McMurdo- Station from 1967 to 1968.
