Smallest Shortest Film (original title Kleinste Kortste Film ) is the title of a Dutch short film from 2010. It only lasts a little over a second, making it the shortest full feature film. Directed by Anton Corbijn , while Carice van Houten took on the sole role. The film was released on a Dutch special stamp .
production
The Dutch TNT Post commissioned the Amsterdam advertising agency KesselsKramer to develop a completely new postage stamp. The aim was to pay homage to national film art, as 2010 was the 30th Dutch Film Festival . Erik Kessels from KesselsKramer came up with the idea of using the new postage stamp as a medium for a film and then turned to director Anton Corbijn.
When choosing the motif, Corbijn was guided by a stamp from 1951 on which a young girl is standing in front of a mill. He recorded five seconds of film with 120 frames, of which he finally selected 30 for the smallest film . They were burned onto postage stamps using lenticular technology , so that the stamps function like so-called wobble images , in which the film is played by holding the film at an angle. They were published in an edition of 350,000 and had the value number 5, which enables shipments of up to 500 g within the Netherlands.
action
In the film, the actress Carice van Houten bites the finger of a man with a smile but nothing can be seen of him except his hand. A typical Dutch landscape with a mill forms the background.
This is Anton Corbijn's finger.
performance
The film premiered on September 29, 2010 at the 30th Dutch Film Festival .
