Klemens Kainmüller (born March 2, 1980 in Linz ) is a former Austrian handball player .

The 1.85 meter tall and about 84 kilogram heavy backcourt player played from 1990 for the Austrian club HC Linz AG , from 2005 for the German second division TSG Ossweil and from January 2006 at HBW Balingen-Weilstetten , with whom he was promoted to the handball Bundesliga in 2006 succeeded. In the summer of 2006, he was supposed to move to SG Leutershausen , but it went bankrupt and he returned to Balingen. In 2007 he moved to HHK Haugaland in Norway. In 2009 he returned to Austria to HIT Innsbruck . Since the 2013/14 season he has been playing again for his parent club HC Linz AG. Kainmüller ended his career after the 2017/18 season. Due to the bad placement of HC Linz AG, Kainmüller celebrated a comeback in January 2019.

With Linz he played in the EHF Cup (2000, 2003, 2004) and with Innsbruck in the EHF Challenge Cup (2009).

Klemens Kainmüller was part of the Austrian national team until 2012 and played 109 international matches (150 goals).
