history

In 1444 the Hl. Geist-Spital Church was founded in Erding. It was operated in a double function and served as a hospital and retirement home. The first hospital in Erding can be dated back to 1751. At that time, the relatives had to provide nursing and food. In 1847 the Order of the Sisters of Mercy took care of the patients. This resulted in a significant improvement in patient care. A further improvement in medical care came with the construction of the new municipal hospital in 1883/84.

As a reaction to the social processes, the district hospital known to us was planned, built and opened in 1973.
