The HELIOS Clinic Munich Perlach is a privately run hospital of the 1st care level in the Munich district of Perlach .

history

Until 1945

In 1880, the Pfanzelt clergy donated an old hunting lodge in Perlach as an asylum (at that time a home for people in need who could buy there for life).

Six years later a district hospital was built next to it for around 35 patients. After the first hospital doctor Dr. Benno Schmidbauer was the name of the street in which the clinic is located. The sisterhood of the poor Franciscan Sisters from Mallersdorf took over the entire operation of the hospital.

In 1902 the number of beds in the clinic was more than doubled through an extension. After a Polish worker fell ill with the leaves , an isolation house was built in 1907 to treat contagious diseases. In 1939 the district of Munich took over the sponsorship . The clinic was renamed the Munich-Perlach District Hospital .

From 1945

In 1947 the asylum was attached to the hospital. The number of beds rose to 240 through an extension and various renovations between 1952 and 1954. The Order of the Poor Franciscan Sisters had to withdraw from hospital operations in 1964 due to a lack of young people. From 1966 to 1968 further modifications and extensions were added. In addition, two operating theaters were built in 1987. 1994 were Perlach district hospital and the general hospital in Munich Pasing in -house operation Kreiskliniken the district Munich converted. In the following years (1995-2004) extensive renovation measures were carried out.

In 2005 the Munich Perlach Clinic was sold by the Munich district to Rhön-Klinikum AG . Together with the Munich Pasing Clinic , it operates as the Munich Pasing and Perlach GmbH Clinics .

As part of the renewed sale in 2013 and the integration into the HELIOS Kliniken Group, the names of both clinics also changed (since July 2014): The Munich Perlach Clinic became the HELIOS Munich Perlach Clinic; the Munich Pasing Clinic to the HELIOS Munich West Clinic.
