history

Emerging from the medieval hospitals of St. Salvator and St. Elisabeth, which were first mentioned in a document in 1475, the monastery building, which is still in use today, was built in 1589 in Halberstadt.

In 1832 a cholera hospital was set up in St. Salvator Hospital. A year later, the St. Salvator Hospital was opened under the direction of the hospital inspector Wilhelm Kramer. Since then, the St. Salvator Hospital has always been a supraregional treatment center.
