In 1821 Christian Heinrich Delius bought the buildings Klint 4 and 5 and arranged for them to be rebuilt and partly rebuilt in the external design that still exists today. He also moved the street facade a little back, so that there are still open and green areas today.

The Klint 10 building was privately owned until 1918. Then the police and the municipal building authorities moved in there. The Harz Museum opened here in 1955, later the city library with a children's library and the Harz library moved into the adjacent building.
