Campénéac monastery

Coordinates: 47 ° 58 ′ 40.3 ″  N , 2 ° 18 ′ 26.9 ″  W Monastery La Joie Notre-Dame has been a French monastery of the Trappist women in Campénéac in the Morbihan department since 1953.

history

Of Kloster La Coudre outgoing, founding Monastery Sainte-Anne d'Auray was 1953 in 1947. erected buildings in Campénéac at Ploërmel , Roman Catholic Diocese of Vannes , moved and took in memory of the Monastery of La Joie in Hennebont in Lorient the name La Joie Notre Dame on . Until 1994 the nuns made the Trappist cheese "Abbaye de la Joie Notre-Dame". Confectionery such as biscuits and chocolates are currently being produced. In 1996, Campénéac founded the Ampibanjinana Monastery in Fianarantsoa , Madagascar .
