Knauermühle is a property belonging to the town of Wurzbach in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

The single settlement Knauermühle is located south of the Haslersberg exit, straight ahead from the first right-hand bend on the road to Lehesten in a wooded valley.

history

In the 1980s, the property was used by the NVA as a summer and winter holiday camp. In the 1990s the building served as a primary school and after-school care center for the city of Wurzbach. The property was then privatized by the Treuhandanstalt .
