Knivsflå is a mountain farm in the Geirangerfjord in the Norwegian municipality of Stranda in the province of Møre og Romsdal .

The farm is in a scenic location. It is located 250 meters above the north-western side of the Geirangerfjord, to which the terrain drops extremely steeply. A rock wall rises above the courtyard. A little further south, the famous Seven Sisters waterfall falls steeply into the fjord. On the other side of the fjord is the Freier waterfall . Similar farms on the Geirangerfjord are Skageflå and Blomberg .

The farm was considered the most productive farm on the Geirangerfjord. Due to its location on a southern slope, there is an early snowmelt and good pastures. However, there were repeated fatalities among the residents from falling rocks. In 1898 the permanent residential use of the courtyard was given up because local authorities feared that rocks above the courtyard could fall onto the courtyard. To date (as of 2017) the rock has not fallen. The residents moved to Geiranger . However, they continued to work the farm from there. The hay was lowered by ropes to the fjord and rowed to Geiranger.
