Knox Chandler
Knox Chandler (born July 20, 1954 in Kentucky ) is an American guitarist, bassist and cellist. Chandler now lives in New York and is best known for his work as a session musician for REM , among others . He was also a member of The Psychedelic Furs for some time . In 1995 he became the new guitarist of Siouxsie and the Banshees after the band split from Jon Klein . After the separation of the Banshees, he was part of the band again in the one-time comeback in 2002. In addition, Knox regularly works with Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode together. Chandler was co-composer of Gahan's solo album Paper Monsters and was also on tour as a guitarist. In the field of jazz he played in the project of Mars Williams An Ayler Xmas in 2018 with interpretations of traditional Christmas carols in connection with compositions by Albert Ayler .
