Knut Fredrik Söderwall (born January 1, 1842 in Drängsered , Hallands län ; † May 30, 1924 in Lund ) was a Swedish Scandinavian .

Knut Fredrik Söderwall, son of a provost, first attended the cathedral school in Lund and then studied at Lund University from 1858 . In 1865 he became a lecturer, in 1872 adjunct, in 1886 associate professor and in 1892 full professor for Nordic languages in Lund. In 1875 he had visited Denmark and Germany with the help of a travel grant . In 1892 he was elected a member of the Swedish Academy .
