Koch Bihar ( Bengali কোচবিহার Kocbihār ; Anglicizing Cooch Behar ) is a place with about 77,000 inhabitants in the north of the Indian state of West Bengal . It is the administrative seat of the Koch Bihar District .

Koch Bihar was the capital of the former princely state of Cooch Behar .
