Kokomopteridae is a family of the suborder Stylonurina from the order of the sea scorpions (Eurypterida).

features

In the species from the Kokomopteridae family, the metastoma had a notch at the rear end. The prosomal limbs II to V were spiny ( Lamontopterus type), VI, however, had no spines ( Kokomopterus type). The opisthosoma was undifferentiated and had a marginal margin.

Locations

Representatives of the Kokomopteridae family have been found in North America (state of Indiana ) and Europe ( Scotland ).

The family was established in 1966 by Erik Norman Kjellesvig-Waering . According to Lamsdell, Braddy & Tetlie 2010, it includes the following genera:
