The Kokosel Tagh (or Kok Sel or Kokoser Tagh ) is a 6858 m high glaciated mountain in the eastern Pamir Mountains in Xinjiang ( PR China ).
The Kokosel Tagh is located in the Tajik Autonomous County Taschkorgan in the administrative district of Kashgar . The mountain is part of the Muztagata massif . To 7509 m high and 7.9 kilometers north located Muztagata introduces ridge. The 7028 m high Koskulak Tagh is 3 km north of the Kokosel Tagh. The Koskulak glacier separates the two mountains.
Ascent history
A Japanese group of climbers (Toshikazu Sato and Hisashi Furuichi) made the first ascent on August 16, 1993.
