The Reschinsky confectionery and Lebzelterei in Scheibbs is a confectionery and gingerbread shop in Austria .

history

In 1888, master confectioner Vincens Reschinsky founded the parent company Konditorei Recinsky in Scheibbs, after the town became a summer resort at the turn of the century and numerous villas, an outdoor pool and a festival hall were built. Regarded by professional skills, which he acquired in the kuk Hofkonditorei in Prague and in the kuk Hofkonditorei Zauner in Bad Ischl , the company was crowned with success and he was able to move his business to the current location, the former Töpperhaus , Hauptstraße 29. The company owes many of the recipes it has received to him, including the well-known Scheibbserkugeln .

In 1888, the business model was expanded to include traditional kirtage days , fairs and folk festivals. There, the confectionery products produced were sold locally. Initially still with horse-drawn vehicles, later with the support of the emerging motorization, the vehicle fleet developed, adapted to the respective time. Today Kirtage and Christmas markets from Vienna to Salzburg are filled.

In the second episode, his only son Karl took over the business in 1921. He had acquired his master craftsman's certificate in Ulm and then worked in leading companies, like his father, at Zauner in Ischl. The Wieselburger Haus has existed since 1922 due to expansion and branching of the Reschinsky confectioner family.

In 1964, the third generation of the company in Scheibbs was taken over by the brothers Heribert and Gerhard. Wieselburg was handed over to daughter Irmtraud and son-in-law Josef Riedel, who expanded it to its present size. The fourth generation of this family, the brothers Heribert and Harald, took over the Scheibbs and Wieselburg businesses in 1985.

The café became a meeting point for artists, as the painters Josef Bramer , Manfred Deix and Gottfried Helnwein , Roncalli -Director Bernhard Paul and the comedian duo Muckenstruntz and Bamschabl met here.

In 2016, an additional production site was built on the area of the Töpperschloss Neubruck near Scheibbs, where gingerbread and foam products are made, the other specialties in Scheibbs city center.
