Konrad Berger (* 1945 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian writer and a representative of situationism . He currently lives in Vösendorf near Vienna .

His literary texts first appeared in magazines such as the Pflasterstein and the Arena Stadtzeitung, both of which were communication tools of the so-called alternative movement in Vienna in the 1980s. Konrad Berger wrote numerous literary pamphlets and was part of the project of a literary daily newspaper, which could not be implemented.

As a result, some of Konrad Berger's publications appeared under pseudonyms. Konrad Berger tried to disguise his personal life story, stopped appearing in public in 1990 and stated that he was born in Poldevien, which is in a novel by Jacques Roubaud .

The Situationist practice of détournement and psychogeography plays a major role in his literary work . He liked to quote the writer Guy Debord as saying "Life can never be too disorienting".
