Ilse Kilic (born May 28, 1958 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .

Live and act

Her literary work consists partly of work with methodological restrictions in the sense of the Oulipo group (see potential literature , i.e. anagram , lipogram , etc.), partly of picture stories with cartoon-like illustrations. Ilse Kilic also works in the field of experimental film , visual poetry and comics. She writes partly together with Fritz Widhalm , among other things a multi-part fictional autobiographical "Verwicklungsroman".

In 2003, the Lipogram Monika's Chaos Protocol appeared , in which the vowels E and U are not used. In 2013 Ilse Kilic published an anthology on the subject of OUVIEPO (Ouvroir de Vie Potentielle - Workshop for Potential Life).

From 2010 to 2016, Ilse Kilic was managing director of the Graz Authors' Assembly together with Gerhard Jaschke and has been its president since 2019. Since 1986 she has been co-editor of the literary publisher Edition The Happy Living Room .

Ilse Kilic and Fritz Widhalm have been running a gallery for living room art and a lucky pig museum in Vienna since 2006. An anthology with texts and pictures was published on the subject of luck and pigs.
