Konrad Eisenhut

Konrad Eisenhut (born May 25, 1907 in Murgenthal ; † September 29, 1981 in Aarwangen ; resident in Gais ) was a Swiss entrepreneur and owner of a textile company for gloves and sportswear in the canton of Bern .

Life

Konrad Eisenhut was a son of Johann Konrad Eisenhut, works foreman in the weaving mill in Murgenthal. In 1935 he married Helena Margaretha Egger, daughter of Walter Egger, the company G. & W. Egger Aarwangen holder and old mayor and Bernese cantonal parliament president .

Konrad Eisenhut attended secondary school in Murgenthal, then the Trogen Cantonal School and then completed a commercial apprenticeship in Murgenthal. In 1927 he joined the textile company G. & W. Egger Aarwangen as an accountant and representative, which started manufacturing sports gloves from then on. In 1943 he became limited partner of Egger, Eisenhut & Cie. renamed company, which operated as a stock corporation from 1965. In 1954 he also acquired the linen weaving mill Gerber, Ernst & Cie. in Langenthal and changed the company name to Konrad Eisenhut AG. In 1982 the company was taken over by the son and daughter. Since the end of the 1990s, the company, renamed Wega Products AG, has been trading in sports and leisure articles as well as occupational safety products under the management of the third generation.
