Konrad Friederich
Konrad Friederich (also: Konrad Fridenreich ; born January 1, 1542 in St. Gallen ; † April 17, 1600 ibid) was a mayor of St. Gallen ( Switzerland ).
Life
Konrad Friederich was the son of Kaspar Friederich.
He became guild master in 1574 and from 1576 to 1600 alternated with Kaspar Schlumpf , Hans Wetter (elected in 1580), Jakob Spengler and Othmar Reiner every three years as Reichsvogt , official mayor and former mayor . From 1579 to 1580 he was the first governor of the Bürglen estate .
Konrad Friederich was first married to Barbara, daughter of Hans Sauter, from 1567. Their son Kaspar Friederich later also became mayor of St. Gallen.
From 1575 he was married to Elsbetha, daughter of Urban Staiger, a member of the weavers' guild.
