Konrad Geßner (born December 25, 1995 in Erfurt ) is a former German cyclist . He was considered a sprint specialist.

Career

In 2015 Konrad Geßner won the Sachsenringradrennen . In the following year he won the U23 class around the financial center Eschborn-Frankfurt . In June 2016 he finished second in the German U23 road racing championship and finished sixth in the elite sprint decision.

For the 2017 season, Geßner received a contract with the Continental Team Rad-net Rose . The following year he switched to Leopard Pro Cycling . In March 2018, he broke both wrists in a fall during the Tour de Normandie

Since he was unable to build on his previous successes after this fall, Geßner ended his cycling career at the end of the 2019 season and began a dual degree in civil engineering at the Erfurt University of Applied Sciences .
