Konrad Kron

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Konrad Kron († 1443 in Fürstenwalde / Spree ) was Bishop of Lebus (then Fürstenwalde).

Konrad Kron probably came from Westphalia and in 1424 was licentiate and judge at the episcopal office in Breslau . He is attested as provost of the cathedral in Lebus for 1433 and was elected as his successor after the death of Bishop Peter von Burgsdorff in 1439.

In 1440 he took part in the Basel Council , where he presumably also received papal confirmation of his election. The Archbishop of Gniezno , Wincenty Kot, was ordained a bishop . In 1441 Kron took part in a metropolitan synod in Łęczyca . After his death he was buried in the Fürstenwald Cathedral .
