Konrad Lied

Konrad Lied (born December 10, 1893 in Wiesbaden ; † October 8, 1957 ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school, Lied completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith and then worked as a journeyman in Berlin . In addition, he attended technical schools and continued his education in evening courses. He did military service from 1913, took part in the First World War as a soldier from 1914 to 1918 and was used in the submarine weapon of the Reichsmarine .

Lied worked as a car mechanic in Wiesbaden from 1918 , became self-employed in 1925 and passed the master's examination in 1927. In 1928 he took over the specialist group for the motor vehicle trade in the Hessian locksmith's guild, became head master of the motor vehicle guild in 1934 and, in 1945, the state master of the motor vehicle trade.

Lied was a member of the FDP since 1946 .
