Konrad Pfaff (sociologist)

Konrad Pfaff (born January 21, 1922 in Temeschburg , Romania ; † March 30, 2012 in Dortmund ) was a German sociologist and author of Romanian-German origin.

Pfaff was in 1953 at the University of Marburg Dr. phil. PhD. After working in church education, he became professor of sociology at the former Ruhr University of Education, Hamm department, then through integration at the University of Dortmund , where he also taught after his retirement in 1987. The focus of his work was the sociology of culture and age. Under the title “Development and testing of a range of courses for senior citizens to train animators and multipliers”, a BLK model test was carried out in 1980 at the new University of Dortmund, which was created through the integration of the PH and University. But his interests were widely spread. So he also developed healing therapy through art.
