Konstantin Faigle
Konstantin Faigle (* 1971 in Sulz am Neckar ; † June 16, 2016 in Cologne ) was a German filmmaker and documentary filmmaker .
Live and act
After graduating from high school and doing community service, he studied media technology at the Stuttgart Media University . He then worked as a freelance editor and author for a number of broadcasters. From 1999 to 2002 he completed postgraduate studies at the Cologne Art Academy for Media in the field of screenwriting and directing and has been a freelance filmmaker since then . In 2002 his autobiographical film Out of Edeka was released , for which he received the Bavarian Documentary Award in 2001 . In 2005, his documentary The Great Depression was shown in German cinemas, and received different reviews from critics. The film Frohes Schaffen - A film to lower the work ethic , a documentary with feature film sequences , celebrated its premiere on November 13, 2012 as the opening film at the Kassel Documentary Film and Video Festival and ran in January 2013 at the Saarbrücken film festival Max Ophüls Preis in the documentary film competition. Happy work - A film about lowering work ethic was released in German cinemas on May 2, 2013.
Faigle's documentaries have a distinctive format; they occasionally contain biographical elements, puppet shows, music clips, film sequences, self-irony and humor.
Konstantin Faigle lived in Cologne for many years; he died there on June 16, 2016.
