Konstantin Kisimov

Konstantin Wassiliew Kisimow (born April 16, 1897 in Veliko Tarnovo , Bulgaria , † August 16, 1965 in Balchik , Bulgaria) was a Bulgarian actor .

Life

Konstantin Vasiliev Kisimow was born into a family of revolutionaries and enlighteners. Like his father, who studied law at the University of Cambridge , Kisimov began law studies at the University of Sofia and the University of Paris . But he broke it off in favor of studying acting at the national theater "Ivan Wasow" . From 1924 to 1928 he then studied acting again in Paris. After his return he was able to establish himself as a theater actor relatively quickly and occasionally appeared in productions such as The whole city seeks Vera , The five miracles of the clever Petr and The Windmill in the Bulgarian film. Until the 1960s he became one of the most famous actors in Bulgaria. He himself died on August 16, 1965 at the age of 68 as a result of a car accident in Balchik, where he was currently engaged in the theater.
