Konstantin Stoitzner (born July 20, 1863 in Chrostau , † January 6, 1933 in Vienna) was an Austrian painter .

Live and act

Konstantin Stoitzner, a son of the botanist and teacher Karl Stoitzner , studied from 1883 at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under August Eisenmenger and Christian Griepenkerl . He created oil paintings with genre scenes , portraits and flowers still lifes , from 1900 he mainly devoted himself to landscape and vedute painting with motifs from the Alps, Burgenland, Moravia, East Frisia and the Lüneburg Heath. From 1914 to 1923 he headed the Austrian Association of Artists.

His brothers Rudolf Stoitzner (1873–1933) and Karl Siegfried Stoitzner (1866–1943) were painters. His son Josef Stoitzner (1884–1951) also became a painter. The painter Otto Stoitzner (1889–1963) was a son of Karl Siegfried Stoitzner and a brother of the painter Siegfried Stoitzner, husband of the painter Clara Stoitzner.
