Parts of the municipal area are located in landscape protection areas . The federal highway 182 to the east provides traffic connections for the local connection routes.

history

In 1225 the village was first mentioned as Stupewiz . The name Staupitz was already in the documents in 1529 . The alley village was an old rural community with 742 hectares (1895) in a Gewannflur . In 1529 21 people lived here. In 1880 there were 323 and in 1990 298. A parish was mentioned in 1500. The superordinate authority had and is based in Torgau. After the fall of the Wall , a modern agricultural enterprise with forestry, fishing, agricultural trade and spare parts delivery developed with the neighboring towns under changed forms of ownership.

On January 1, 1994 the communities of Staupitz, Beckwitz , Loßwig , Mehderitzsch and Weßnig were merged to form a new community of Pflückuff . This came to Torgau on January 1st, 2009. A post mill is in the place.

Right-wing extremism

In an inn in Staupitz, which is considered the “hotspot” of the scene, neo-Nazi concerts are held regularly . Neo-Nazi bands like “Holy War”, “Blitzkrieg” and “ Tätervolk ” play here. The concerts organized elsewhere to avoid possible protests or countermeasures by the state, usually in a conspiratorial manner via social networks, are "practically officially" organized here according to the MDR . Many residents would have "arranged".
